Is A Chemical Peel Right For You?

A Chemical peel procedure consists of a chemical solution applied tot eh skin in order to to improve the appearance and create a smoothing effect to the skin's texture. The Chemical solution will "strip away" the skin's damaged outer layers. In many cases a chemical peel procedure can be combined with a face lift surgery procedure.

It is important to note that a chemical peel procedure is not a substitute for face lift surgery and a chemical peel will not slow or stop the natural aging process Your plastic surgeon will provide information about certain types of chemical peel treatments and the results you might expect. It won't answer all your questions, since a lot depends on your individual circumstances. Once you and your plastic surgeon have decided on a specific peel program, be sure to ask about any details that you do not understand.

BOTOX Cosmetic in Hawaii

"If you keep making that face, it is going to stay that way permanently."

I remember my mom used to tell us kids that frequently, especially when one of us would make a frustrated face or dare to shoot mom an angry glance. Little did I realize that as I got older, Mom's wisdom would become more fact than fiction.

Every year we grow older, our skin also ages. Our aging skin along with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are the result of what could be the combination of a multitude of various factors. In addition to the normal changes to our skin cells, the loss of hormones and decreased collagen production, we also experience changes to areas surrounding the face such as the brow/forehead area caused by muscle contractions.

We have all seen the effects that muscle contractions have on the skin. Are you familiar with those vertical lines that appear between your brows? Those are commonly referred to as "11's" and are the result from repeated muscle contractions. every time you concentrate, squint, or frown, the muscles that control your brow movement contract. Over time, this will cause the brow skin to furrow and fold. After years of repeated brow contractions, those 11's can begin to stay prominent, even after your brow muscles are relaxed. Gee, maybe Mom was right after all.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein that temporarily treats the fine lines and wrinkles caused by aging and muscle contractions by blocking nerve signals to the muscles in the treatment area. BOTOX® cosmetic achieves this by "stunning" the muscles, thereby reducing the muscle activity that is causing the prominent lines to form between the brows. A BOTOX treatment session consists of a few injection administered by your plastic surgeon. The procedure only takes a few minutes, and there is no down time.

The results of using fillers are, in most cases temporary and repeat treatments will be required to maintain the result. Another approach is a surgical technique where the plastic surgeon relocates lip tissue from the inside to the outside of the lip.

Facelift Surgery Can Correct Sagging Facial Skin

As we grow older, our individual genetic history, exposure / over exposure to the elements such as the sun and wind, and other factors such as the use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs can actually alter our skin, thereby causing a loss of skin tone and elasticity as well as assisting in the development of wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin around the neck, mouth, eyes and forehead. Folds in the skin become prominent around areas of the face such as the chin, and neck. Face lift surgery can correct these conditions by a plastic surgeon tightening the facial muscles and 'lifting' the facial skin.

Is A Filler Lift An Alternative To A Surgical Face Lift?

Many plastic surgeons believe that when the correct individual dermal filler, or in some cases, the correct combination of fillers to treat wrinkles, the results are very similar to those achieved from much more invasive procedures.

Dermal fillers widely accepted and used in modern cosmetic dermatology and cosmetic surgery procedures as an instant aesthetic treatment. A dermal filler treatment is one of a small number of cosmetic procedures that typically provide immediate results and a noticeable improvement and does not require down time like procedures such as a face lift.

These days there is a mind boggling number of choices when electing to have a dermal filler treatment. It is not an uncommon practice for a cosmetic surgeon to utilize a single type of filler to treat more than one area of concern.

New York Cosmetic Dermatologist Dr. Karyn Grossman states "Each individual dermal filler has qualities that differ from other fillers, and therefore provide different results. By utilizing multiple filler types to treat different areas of a patients face, and using the best filler for each treatment area, one can achieve the most beautiful and natural looking results possible."

Laser Resurfacing Procedures Are Gaining Popularity

These days, facial rejuvenation and skin resurfacing has become a viable and realistic alternate treatment to a face lift. This is due in part to the advancements of technology for the use of lasers in a medical setting. Following this, the advanced Fraxel laser is one of the most widely used lasers in plastic surgeon offices around the world.

This is because the Fraxel Laser treats only a very small area of skin at a time and does not break the protective outer barrier of the skin. When one compares this to traditional resurfacing procedures that strip away the entire top layer of the damaged skin and have a lengthy recovery period, it is not hard to see why modern laser resurfacing procedures are gaining popularity among more invasive plastic surgery procedures.

Reverse the Appearance of Aging with a Facial Rejuvenation Procedure

A brow lift, also called a forehead lift or eyebrow lift, corrects the skin wrinkling and loss of tone that causes sagging of eyebrows and hooding of upper eyelids. A brow lift softens the deep creases across the forehead, reduces horizontal frown lines at the top of your nose and vertical lines between your brows. The result is a more relaxed and refreshed appearance. It is the only procedure that can increase the distance from the lateral brow to the upper eyelashes.

A brow lift is often performed along with a face lift or other facial rejuvenation procedures. Some people have brow lifts to correct aging problems, while others have inherited traits that cause them to seek treatment in their 20s or 30s. You may be a good candidate for a brow lift if you have any of the following types of conditions:
  • If you have drooping lateral brows that are close to or below your orbital bony rim
  • If you feel you always look angry or scowling
  • If you like your appearance and your brows and eyelids when you pull up your forehead with your fingers at your hairline above your lateral brows
  • If you desire the ideal benefits of facial rejuvenation and you are already considering a face and neck lift
For more information about the Brow Lift procedure, contact Dr. Pearl, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Mountain View, California.

What Can Fat Transfer Do For You?

A fat transfer Procedure is an alternative to using dermal fillers to treating the fine lines and wrinkles that begin to appear around the corner of our mouths, eyes and cheeks as we age. Fat transfer can also be utilized for enhancing features of the body such as the buttocks and even the breasts.

During a fat transfer procedure, a plastic surgeon will utilize fat tissues removed from another area of the body, and then used to fill out the area being treated. One advantage of fat transfer over other injectable fillers is that the area treated will generally not need re-treatment as the initial results are permanent in most cases.

People Will Notice Your Eyes Almost Immediately

The eyes of a person are one of the first things that others will notice about them. Regarded as one of our most important facial features, the eyes enable us to communicate and connect with others. If your upper or lower eyelids have puffy, drooping, or excess skin that makes you appear sad or tired, cosmetic eyelid surgery may be right for you.

Selecting a Plastic Surgeon - Beverly Hills, California

Dad used to walk right past the express lane at the grocery store every time. He would always say things like, "Would you rather wait behind twelve people with one thing each or one person with twelve things?" Apparently, there was a lesson in there about not allowing a gimmick to cloud one's awareness of the big picture. A corollary might presumably be drawn that there are certain things which, if not delivered satisfactorily, will never be worth having been chosen based on price.

Dr. Francis Palmer, a Los Angeles plastic surgeon, makes a similar point regarding the selection of a plastic surgeon. Whether you seek breast augmentation, liposuction, a tummy tuck, a face lift, or whatever; it's simply better to get it right the first time. Don't hesitate to ask pointed questions, get a bead on a doctor's aesthetic sensibilities, or get a second opinion if you're not sure he is up to the job. Once you've chosen the right surgeon, one can do the job right, you can then focus on lesser details.

What Can I Expect From a Dermal Filler Treatment?

In most cases, Dermal filler appointments will take about an hour. Most of this time will be with a numbing agent gradually numbing the skin. Sometimes when extensive lip treatments are being performed, we will opt to give a small, nearly painless, numbing injection to deaden the sensitive lip tissue prior to administering the dermal filler. In this case, your lip will remain numb for up to an hour following the session.

During the actual treatment you should be very comfortable, feeling only some mild pin pricks or stinging. Most patients are impressed at the ease of these treatments. If you are experiencing significant discomfort during the session please advise the plastic surgeon as there are often other remedies to ease any pain you might be feeling.

After the session a small amount of swelling and redness in the treated area is normal and to be expected. Typically the majority of this reactivity will be gone within several hours but on occasion can persist for several days. Bruising can occur. If you are susceptible to bruising or on blood thinners, please let your provider know prior to the treatment so extra precautions or recommendations can be made. Bruising will not affect the end result but can take up to 10 days to resolve when significant.

Plastic Surgeons Perform Face Lift Surgery For Many Reasons

A rhytidectomy procedure will be incapable of stopping this process, but it is capable of "turning back the hands of time." A rhytidectomy (sometimes referred to as a face lift) is made to reduce much of the looseness and many of the heavy folds and wrinkles of the neck and face. The surgery will also make the contour of a person's jaw and necklines more aesthetic. However, a face lift will not completely remove every line, wrinkle, and fold. The amount of improvement that can be made around the eyes and with fine lines of the facial skin is limited. A rhytidectomy alone will not be able to improve acne scars, "smoker's" lines around the mouth, or poor complexion. There are other options available to treat these various problems including chemical peels, laser treatment, and dermabrasion.

Performed By A Plastic Surgeon, A Rhytidectomy Turns Back the Hands of Time

A face lift is capable of improving the most visible signs of aging by sculpting and tightening the deeper foundation and structures of the face and neck. As a person ages, the effects of sun exposure, gravity, smoking, heredity, weight fluctuations, and the stresses of daily life begin to show themselves in their face. A rhytidectomy procedure can bring back youth to a person's face. In youth, a face is smooth and firm due to proper positioning of normal facial fat and good skin elasticity. As a person ages, muscle tone and skin elasticity weaken and facial fat descends which causes prominent skin folds and deep creases between the corner of the mouth and nose. A person's jowls become more prominent along with loose skin and fat deposits in the neck.

Plastic Surgeons Often Choose To Perform An Excess Skin Removal After The New Position Is Established From A Forehead Lift

A forehead lift will set the eyebrows to a higher level and will stretch out the upper eyelid skin. Often times none of the skin will need to be remove, but if it does, many cosmetic surgeons choose to trim it later after the new brow position has been established. This is done so that the two procedures will not work against one another and eye closure will not become an issue. With your eyebrow higher set, you will stop wrinkling your brow since there will no longer be a need for conscious elevation.

You May Think You Need An Eyelid Lift When You Really Need A Browlift

A lot of people go into a cosmetic surgeon's office and request an eyelid lift procedure to correct an excess of skin that they have in their upper eyelids. Many times the actually problem lies within their brow and a brow lift is the answer. For these patients, the brow itself has fallen which has resulted in a "bunching" of skin in the upper eyelid area. With an aggresive removal of skin during an eyelid lift, typically the brow will be pulled further down which will just make the issue even worse and can sometimes create a tired or weary appearance.

Face Lift Surgery in Long Beach

Face Lift Long Beach - It's difficult not to say the words "personal decision" when referring to any surgery, particularly Facelift Long Beach cosmetic surgery. Despite the increasing acceptance of cosmetic surgery procedures, there remain those who frown on the choice. Really, there should be only one opinion (that of the patient) which matters, and if that opinion is based on an informed comparison of the potential risks and benefits, who can find legitimate fault?

A counteractive procedure to the sagging and wrinkling which occur as skin loses its elasticity over time, facelift surgery may be combined with implants, soft tissue augmentation, and/or wrinkle reduction by injection to achieve your goals. Exactly what changes, and consequently incision scars, you have will depend on the personal consultation you have with your doctor before-hand. Long Beach plastic surgeon Dr. Marcel Daniels "goes to great lengths to listen to each patient and helps them select the procedure that has the best chance of meeting their expectations."

A Cosmetic Surgeon May Choose To Make An External Incision For Your Lower Eyelid Lift

When excess skin and wrinkles are present around the lower eyelid, the cosmetic surgeon may choose to use and external incision approach. With this, the incision is made just beneath the lower eyelashes. This is easily camouflaged during the healing process. Through this lower eyelid incision excess muscle and skin, and even fat may be removed. The incision will then be closed with sutures that will be removed about a week after surgery. Swelling and bruising are slightly more common with lower eyelid surgery, however the problems will typically resolve within a week. Regular activities may be resumed within one to two weeks.

People With Prominent Fat Bags Of The Lower Eyelids, Lower Eyelid Lift May Help

When a cosmetic surgeon performs a lower blepharoplasty, patients are offered a gentle intravenous sedation from their anesthetist. This surgery is capable, however, of being comfortably performed with only the use of a local anesthetic. For any patient who has fat bags under their lower eyelids that are prominent and only have a small amount of excess skin or muscle, the blepharoplasty can be performed with no external sutures. Instead, an incision will be placed on the inner side of the lower eyelid and extra fat will be carefully removed. There are no sutures required for this approach, and patients are asked to use a topical eye drop for a week after to aid in the healing process.

Faster Recovery from Face Lift Beverly Hills, California

The wonders of medicine march forward continually, and the improvements to procedures and outcomes continue to impress. Just when you get used to the idea that the skin Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon and muscles of your mug can be tightened for a more youthful appearance, they cut the recovery time for your facelift. According to Los Angeles plastic surgeon, Doctor Francis Palmer, "when the proper facial aesthetics are followed, the incisions [and] the tissue dissection can be limited which in turn means there will be smaller scars, less bruising and swelling and a shorter recovery time. This is the idea behind the creation of our 'Celebrity Lift™' that can make you look 10 years younger in less than 90 minutes with a recovery time that’s measured in hours, not weeks." The trick, Doctor Palmer says, "is addressing the central portion of the face, the cheeks. The nasolabial folds are reduced and the cheeks are properly shaped using cheek implants or fillers like Radiesse or Perlane."

Naturally, a speedy recovery to facial surgery should appeal to anyone who wants to look younger and doesn't have the luxury of spending a month or two out of sight to heal. Dr. Palmer points out another benefit as well. With the aforementioned reduction in tissue dissection, "smokers and those with a long history of smoking may still be a candidate for this powerful, yet minimal incision facelift and necklift."

Your Plastic Surgeon Will Make Sure That Your Rytidectomy Is Individualized For You

A face lift procedure is very individualized. In your initial consultation with your plastic surgeon he or she will evaluate your face. This will include the underlying bone and skin. Then your doctor will discuss your goals for the surgery with you. He or she will then review your medical history and check you for any conditions that could possibly cause problems during or after the procedure. Some of these conditions are the tendency to form excessive scars, blood clotting problems, and uncontrolled high blood pressure. You must be sure to inform your surgeon of all the vitamins, herbs, and medications that you are taking. If you are a smoker, your cosmetic surgeon will counsel you on the increased risks associated with healing and he or she will wait for you to have stopped smoking for at least two months before performing a procedure.

A Cosmetic Surgeon Can Reverse The Effects Of Gravity On Your Face With A Face Lift

A face lift, technically called a rhytidectomy, is a cosmetic surgery procedure that is capable of "setting the clock back" on your face and neck. As a person ages the effects of gravity and exposure to the sun along with the stresses of daily life can be seen within their faces. The jawline grows slack and jowly, deep creases form between the mouth and nose, and fat deposits and folds appear around the neck. A face lift is capable of improving the most visible signs of aging successfully by removing excess fat, re-draping the skin of your neck and face, and tightening the underlying muscles.

Facelift Surgery in Tulsa, OK

Breast augmentation is a regular atop the list of popular cosmetic procedures each year, but it's not the only reason to visit a plastic surgeon. Gravity and time aren't any kinder to the face than they are to breasts, and there are only so many situations that call for clothing to cover the former. The face is often the first place to show signs of aging, and a little sagging and puffing in the wrong areas can give a tired look to the most energetic face. Tulsa plastic surgeon, Dr. Robert Mitchell, has a "keen interest in cosmetic enhancement of the face, nose and eyes." Bay Area Plastic Surgeon Offers Eyelid Lift

Blepharoplasty San Francisco - Time is a two-faced beast. On the one side are the things that can't happen soon enough, like Christmas, the movie you've been waiting for since the day you picked up the book, getting that promotion Bay Area Plastic Surgeons you've been working for, and so on. On the other is the price we pay for continuing to sit up and take nourishment; our skin loses its elasticity and body parts start unauthorized migration. It doesn't take much to make a young face look old and tired. A little sagging above, a little baggage below, maybe some wrinkles for good measure, and 'Blammo!' Old.

While there's no way to truly avoid the cost of accrued birthdays, it's surprisingly simple to get an extension. Because so much of the face's appearance depends on subtleties, eyelid lift surgery (or blepharoplasty) can have a major impact despite being a relatively minor procedure. Bay area plastic surgeon, Stanley G. Poulos, M.D. and partner Yngvar Hvistendahl, M.D., provide this and other cosmetic services.

Non Invasive Procedures Are Becoming More Popular

With economy in its current state, many are reducing their spending, which affects almost every industry in the United States. The Cosmetic and plastic surgery industry has seen a bigger drop off than most other industries and this is due to the fact that most every plastic or cosmetic procedure available is to be considered an elective surgical procedure, and are not deemed necessary to a healthy lifestyle.

Recent trends have shown a quite noticeable reduction of the most popular plastic surgery procedures - Breast Augmentation surgery, Body contouring procedures such as liposuction and tummy tuck surgery, and face lift surgery have all seen a decline in the overall number of these procedures performed. Of Course is no secret why these popular procedures have recently become less popular. All of these elective surgery procedures can cost thousands of dollars, and most people interested in finding beauty through cosmetic surgery are now looking for less expensive solutions for looking younger.

Experts in the cosmetic surgery profession, such as Hawaii Plastic surgeon Dr de los Reyes, recommend less invasive procedures to achieve that youthful look without breaking the bank. These procedures include the ever popular BOTOX treatments, Chemical peels, and other facial rejuvenation procedures such as microdermabrasion, and laser skin resurfacing.

Plastic Surgery Q&A - Facelift Surgery

How long does a facelift usually last?

The length of time the results of a facelift procedure will last depend on a number of factors - the type of facelift procedure and surgical techniques used, the patient's skin type, aging, medical history, exposure to the elements, skin care regimen, how well a patient followed post operative instructions, alcohol use and smoking can all affect the longevity of facelift surgery results. The traditional answer is approximately ten years. However, taking into account the fact that the aging process cannot be stopped, anyone considering a facelift surgery procedure can expect to look better after a face lift procedure.

The best candidates for a facelift surgery procedure are men and women who are experiencing sagging skin in the face and neck area, even though their skin may still retain some of its natural elasticity.

A well-defined facial bone structure makes a facelift procedure more simple. While a facelift surgery procedure can be performed on patients in their 60's and 70's, the majority of patients undergo a facelift procedure in their 40's and 50's.

Following a facelift surgery procedure, a patient will still look like themselves, the procedure will restore a youthful refreshed look to the face and can also restore self-confidence. However, a facelift procedure will not restore youthful energy or vitality.

You Can Improve Your Sun-Damaged Skin With Laser Treatments

Currently, there are many lasers used for facial and skin rejuvenation and to treat sun damage and photo-aging of the skin. One older laser system, the carbon dioxide laser, has been very effective for treating sun damaged skin but has fallen out of favor. This is because it routinely caused extensive rawness of the skin that typically required over 2 weeks of “hiding out” or “downtime” to recover. In addition to the time it took to heal, it frequently caused skin discoloration and occasionally scarring. Many lasers available today require very little downtime and yield some improvement of the skin but are not nearly as effective as the carbon dioxide laser. As with any procedure, anyone considering laser skin treatments should first consult with a plastic surgeon prior to under going their chosen procedure.

For Brow Lift Surgery Plastic Surgeons Use The Latest Surgery Techniques

Cosmetic surgeons use the latest in surgery techniques when they perform their Los Angeles browlift and forehead lift procedures. Brow-lifting procedures can elevate and reposition brows that have become tired and droopy, and can improve the wrinkles between the eyes and the forehead. According to Los Angeles plastic surgeon, Dr. Hoefflin, using the revolutionary advances of endoscopy, several small incisions are placed in inconspicuous locations behind the hairline, thus avoiding any visible facial incisions. During the procedure, the forehead muscles above the eyes are elevated to smooth out excessive forehead lines, raise the eyebrows to a more pleasing level, thus creating a more youthful and balanced appearance.

A Natural And Unoperated Look Is Ideal For Rhinoplasty

Dr. Jay Granzow, a Los Angeles plastic surgeon, knows that a superior nose job will present a natural and unoperated look and, at the same time, maintain or improve breathing. Many cosmetic surgeons perform most of their procedures through a "closed" approach although an "open" approach may be used if necessary. This endonasal approach allows shaping of the nose and airway via incisions which are hidden within the nose, achieving a final result without visible external scars. Every patient will be individually evaluated accounting the unique characteristics of their case. No two procedures are the same, and great care is taken to match the final appearance to the patient's own unique features.

Surgery of the Nose in Los Angeles, California

Plastic surgery connects readily in the mind with breast augmentation and face lift surgery. Nose surgery may even quickly spring to the rhinoplasty nose reshaping pictureimagination, but often when I think of plastic surgery, the motivation behind it is always cosmetic. I was reading the web site of Santa Monica nose surgery Doctor, Steven Teitelbaum, and was reminded that there's more to the nose than meets the eye. Of course, there are cosmetic reasons to change the nose; it may be too large for the face it occupies, it may have a hump, or a bulbous tip or oddly shaped nostrils. There may also be deformities on the inside, however, which can cause difficulty breathing. Repair if these issues also falls on the plastic surgeon, and may even be covered by insurance. Perhaps a closer look at Los Angeles facial rejuvenation might even help a body breathe a little bit easier.

An Ideal Cheek Structure Is Different For Men And Women And Is Achievable With Cheek Augmentation

Cheek augmentation can be performed using cheek implants. According to a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Francis Palmer, this will enhance the beauty of the face. Cheek implants are a way to improve your face and achieve the ideal aesthetic cheek shape. Cheek implants come in many sizes and shapes, but obviously there must be an ideal size and shape for each individual patient to see the most aesthetic improvement from their cheek implants. There are between forty and sixty possible shapes and sizes of cheek implants and several types of cheek implant material available. When people are trying to decide on what cheek implant to receive there can be a great deal of confusion. Cheek augmentation is important to beauty because cheeks have the ability to make the face appear female, male, old, young, attractive, or less so.

Inadequate Cheek Volume Can Be Filled By Cosmetic Surgeons With Cheek Implants

Cosmetic surgeons have outlined the specific beauty differences as a means to evaluate, identify, and quantify a person's cheeks for a cheek augmentation with the use of cheek implants. If a surgeon were to use the wrong size or shape of cheek implant, it may lead to a gender non-specific alteration of the face. Simply put, the cheek implants could make a male's face appear more feminine and vice-versa. According to Dr Francis Palmer, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, the cheeks should be augmented with cheek implants only when the ideal cheek shape isn't present and the individual is over the age of 18. Many plastic surgeons even prefer to wait until a patient has lost all of their "baby fat" in their 20's. And some plastic surgeons believe that other methods such as facial liposculpting may be used to further accentuate the cheek area prior to this time.

Could You Benefit From Laser Skin Resurfacing?

I am a big fan of the out-doors and being in the sun a lot and over time the elements have taken a toll on my skin, especially my facial skin. It had gotten so bad that it was difficult for me to look at myself in the mirror. I eventually became so sick of the way I look that I decided I would do something about it and search the internet for something to make my face look better.

While searching the internet I found a site called Keycare.com and on that website I learned about Laser Skin Resurfacing and how "The new CO2 pulse lasers are effective for treating fine wrinkles that occur with aging and exposure to the elements. We are using them for blepharoplasty and facial resurfacing either with or without facelift surgery. The laser also treats the vertical wrinkles that occur in the upper lip area. This new method for Laser Skin Resurfacing takes advantage of the ability of the laser to penetrate the skin to a precise depth. The consistency and degree of penetration affords an even effect over the entire treated area. The superficial skin is shed and new skin regenerates, providing a fresher, smoother appearance."

Soon after I was able to receive one of these procedures and I can say that I am very glad that I decided to do something about the way I look.

I was previously aware that there were a lot of facial rejuvenation plastic surgery procedures out there, I just wasn't aware of how many. I went to find out what some of the procedures were and found a good amount of a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Daniel Golshani's website. On his website he goes in depth into each procedure, but I am just going to list them. First off he mentions chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Naming more non-surgical techniques he lists botox, restylane, IPL (Intense Pulse Laser) and laser skin resurfacing. He then goes on to list many surgical techniques. Fat graft facial augmentation, mini facelift, cheek lift, brow lift, MACS facelift, SMAS facelift, neck lift, and bone contouring are just some of them.

Of course, like for every other sign of aging, there is a plastic surgery procedure to help with this. An Aged Appearance Can Be Lead To By Heredity, Stress, And Gravity

He first displays examples of, "These visible signs of facial aging, including a loss of skin elasticity and firmness, sagging tissues, wrinkles, and sun-damage, can strongly influence how we feel about ourselves and how others see us."
